How much does a polar bear weigh?

Enough to break the ice! Wakka wakka wakka

Sup y'all, brand new to this forum. Yesterday forum member Squirrely gave me a sweet deal on a Sony TC-765 deck and made me realize it was time to join up over here. My current rack has a glass top that I don't trust to handle the Sony, so there's still a Pioneer RT-1011L up there. Current main setup:

Amp: Denon PMA-920
Tuner: Denon TU-800
CD: Denon DCD-910
R2R: Pioneer RT-1011L
Speakers: Sansui SP-5500X pair, Cerwin Vega L-7 pair

All thrift store scores except for the R2R... I'm a former resident of Ohio, now residing in the beautiful PNW.

Welcome welcome!

I heard just today that all Polar Bears are left handed. Hmmmmm not sure how they know that, but it may or may not be a fun fact :D

Male polar bears weight anywhere between 800 and 1500 pounds.
It is unknown about the female polar bear weight. You just do not ask a woman about her age or weight.

Thrift stores can be a gold mine of good stuff, especially if you have a bit of technical know-how.

Welcome to the forum.

ggrey, interesting to know! I'm a lefty as well, as I'm sure many of you are! Probably a higher percentage here than among the general population, I would guess, knowing the mindset!

Thank you all for the kind welcome!

The Sony is in need of some calibration so the Pioneer is still the main deck. The Sony is the UK/AEP version with 110/120/220/240V settings, and it was set on 110V which just does not fly in this household. So it is set at 120V now which throws everything out of whack a bit... I'll get her there.

MetalFisher, that's precisely it, a little bit of technical ability really opens up the thrift shop experience. For example, my Denon TU-800 tuner was $19.99. It had a bad solder connection on one of the RCA outputs. Getting to the bottom of the board was the only hard part.
