Thanking everyone for a great community of Audionutz....
I have a nagging question about my recent purchase of a Dual 1912... I would like to know how old it is. The S/N under the platter is on a small label which reads 431087.
Can anyone locate the age of my turntable by referencing the serial number???? Thank you!!!!!

Greetings. I have a few 1219s I'm planning to work through this winter. Figure I should be able to get 3 or 4 working properly. They were Goodwill finds and one auction site purchase. A bunch of cartridges waiting to be experienced. Really can't wait to get some time inside. I do not know of a reliable local/driving distance service guy. Shipping the beasts is problematic but can be done, slowly and carefully so think twice and do a lot of reading before you decide to ship.

Welcome to AK!

According to my sources in Germany, the Dual CS 1219 has been produced between 1969 and 1971.
Sorry regarding the S/N, no Information about this.
But enjoy your Dual, it is a real vintage Baby.

Actually I’m in Crownsville... I’m loving the 1219.. I found a 1215 on FB marketplace recently, I also found 2 original dust covers for each of my Duals so I’m now complete....

Which marketplace on there and how do I join? I’m looking for a few missing pieces for a 1237i just picked up. Stop lever doesn’t work. Does your tables still need servicing? Where have you taken yours?

If you are on Facebook when you go to your homepage at the bottom of the screen in the center is a picture of a little house that is called Facebook marketplace and you can set up alerts anytime a record player goes up for sale it’s totally free doesn’t cost to buy or sell anything I bought my 1215 from someone near Baltimore it’s in mint condition but it didn’t have a dustcover I bought the dust covers on eBay but eBay is getting too expensive

I’ve taken my turn tables here, you need to remove counter weight remove platter and take outhttp://www.turntableexperts.com/ off the plinth and ship only the turntable itself they have platters they use. My 1219 works flawlessly and it cost only $185 plus shipping.... Adam will send you boxing requirements. Good luck
