How Rare are these? (quadraflex)

My St-21 Quadraflex speakers, were nearly dead when I first bought them.

I got them in Los Altos Hills, California. It really took my buddy and I on an adventure to get them. And they barely fit into my car. (one in trunk and one in backseat).

They include a 15" sub, 6 and 3/4 inch enclosed midrange or So, and a 1.25 inch dome Tweeter.

The surrounds on the woofers were thrashed, I had to have them refoamed(by Uncle Spot in Modesto, California), He replaced them with the same foam they were first made with and So it brought them back to life. So, what I want to know is. How rare are these and has anyone seen a pair of them?

I have seen and owned plenty of quadraflex Items. I've seen ST-19's, 15's, 17's, and even an ST-11, but I have yet to see another set of ST-21's online. Let me know whatever else you can guys! Thanks

ST21's were I believe, the largest of the Quads, I bought a set of ST19s new back in the day. I considered the 21's to be bloated sounding, and the 15s to be too thin on the base, I believe the 17’s and 15's were 2 way as well.

They probably sold fewer 21's than any of the others, and as Pacific stereo's house brand the line wasn't considered High end, and they are huge so very low WAF even back then, however, the 19's are quite nice performers, either by design or accident. (SWMBO actually preferred them over the Snells, however she is not always obeyed… :D

I used to spend time in Pacific Stereo stores comparing all their speakers and found that of all the Quadraflex speaker models only the Lab Standard 1's sounded good with the rest tending to be very lo-fi. I had a friend who worked at a Pacific Stereo store for awhile and the employee nickname for them was "Ca Ca Flex" because they tended to sound like crap. He would start mimicking the old CoCo Puffs TV commercials from the 60's or 70's by chanting "I'm Cukoo for Caca-flex!" He did say that the spiff they earned on each sale was the best of any speaker line since they were a house brand. He purchased large Advents for himself while working there.....

well mine must be

mine must be an exception then because I took them to Uncle spot who deals with countless sets of speakers and he said they sounded near perfect and he was only running 8 Watts to them at the time.

I'm not sure. They do sound very good, especially when paired with the model 55's.

I will post pictures soon for you guys.

Any schematics or tech info on drivers?

I just picked up a pair of ST21s at The SA. The cabinets are pretty beat-up. But when I saw that the 15 inch drivers and dome tweets were pristine, I thought I'd take a chance and use them in a custom (re)build project.

Does anyone have info on crossover points or a crossover schematic? Also, who made the drivers for Q-flex?
