As we speak, the Jacobsen Company (truly the most innovative group in audio) is hand-etching records. The work is performed by a team of Mongolian women previously renowned for their miniature needlework.

I have seen a video of records being pressed in a plant environment but the process was never explained. You just see the machines operate. So this was interesting to read. :thmbsp:
No way they could make them almost hand made like that today if they were still mass produced to the public back before cassettes and CD's were around.
 
That was cool. It's funny, I follow links from AK and get all involved and lost in the link. I forget I was originally on AK.
