[warning, odd situation ahead, you have been warned]
So a bit of quick back story, i came home to find the cable of my Float's (as well as my right Infinity kappa 8.1i, and tripod...) to have been peed on by one of my cats (probably for marking Territory)...
So, since i don't want to break the cable of the floats, and seeing that it carry's 2KV to the headphones, i don't want to use any cleaning agent that can damage it. Seeing as the cable appears to bee quite similar to the ones used on Stax headphones (if memory serves correctly, its been a while since i consciously observed a Stax cable...).
My first idea would be Isopropyl alcohol, but i worry it might start damaging the rubber... I might just use some warm water an soap...
So i decided to ask you guys if anyone here has experience removing cat piss from electrostatic headphone cables... Or has pointers as to how best to do it...
(oh and yes, i am furious that my cats did this... If anyone was wondering...)
Edit:
I forgot to add, the headphone (well more of a ear speaker to be honest) is fine, it was on top of one of my Speaker towers... Just the cable got caught in the urine stream...
