How To Hook Up Speakers On Old VM Amp

While I'm waiting for parts for my console project, I'm trying to get my Voice of Music 6V6 fired up.
It has odd, to me, speaker terminals and I'm not sure how to hook things up. It didn't come with speakers or speaker cables.
Here is a copy of the schematic. I'll upload some pics shortly.
I've basically got left, right and ground. Am I correct to hook up my test speakers "dot" side to the left or right and the other side to ground.
I'm feeling this is one of my dumber questions, but I don't want to blow a tube or transformer before I even really get started with this thing.

I'm new to this so it may be common practice, but I was surprised to see all the unshielded wire running from ground point to ground point throughout this amp. You can see one here linking the ground from one channels hum pot to the speaker terminal. I suppose it's really no different than a ground buss though.

Looks like the big hole is negative. Might want to do some looking at the original internal load and calculate the impedance, DCR anyhow. Odd, they usually have a switch for aux. speakers, or am I missing something?

This could serve as an example of how little effect secondary load has on primary Z, they sure didn't think it was a big deal, but you probably had to use their satellite if you wanted to keep your warranty.

Just to make sure I'm straight with this. The dot side wire from my speaker goes to the yellow negative side and the other wire goes to the black ground/positive side. Is this correct?

The dot usually represents proper phasing but can also mean positive. Just make sure both right & left speakers are connected the same each side.
