Hi & thanx for having me. I'm looking forward to learning from the best...every time I do a search for Vintage equipment it points here! I'm in the process of rebuilding my collection, so all input is welcome. I inherited a Yamaha CR-600 some years ago from my Grandparents. Since, I have acquired a Sony STR-7055A, KLH Model 6 speakers, and a set of Sansui SP-1500's w/ a kicker of SP-30's. I have a Dual turntable & a Technics cassette deck, but am looking forward to upgrading to a reel-to-reel and a better album spinner. Please feel free to shoot me any and all wisdom. Thanx again for letting me share in the nostalgia & future of great sound! Peace

Welcome to the madness aka AK!!

You never mentioned what model Dual you have. I have a Dual 1219 idler and a 721 direct drive. You did not mention the condition your table is in. If you would spend a little money on bringing your Dual back up to factory specs, you will not find a better table for the money.

One of our members has a website Fix My Dual. Bill is a great guy to deal with. He has the largest parts inventory for Duals in the US. Give him a call and tell him what's going on, and I am sure he can help you with parts and repairs if needed.

I've been very happy with my Duals. For the money, you cannot find a better turntable.

Welcome here to the Audio Karma family. When I got the "bug" a few years ago to get back into listening to "records" again I spent more than a few hours researching here at AK. I wound up with a great receiver (after almost a half dozen attempts). I'm currently enjoying my Sony STR-6065.
Enjoy your stay with us!

Hello one and all, Merry Christmas

My name is Stan Adams and am a 63 yr old professional electronics guy. Old First Phone License, several radio and TV stations, and as a hobby I maintain and repair old radios and audio gear. I have some choice things that I have collected through the years, generally broadcast related and of course they are tubes and super built. Loooking for a Pioneer RT909 rebuild guide as I have one that needs some loving attention after almost 30 yrs of use.
