HPM-100 Question - Input Terminals

Outspaced

Hello all. New to posting on the forum but have certainly learned alot visiting over the years.

I just picked up a pair of Pioneer HPM-100s and they seem to be missing the input terminal caps - not the posts themselves but the red and black (spring loaded?) caps. The service manual says they are SKC-050/046. Do I need to track these exact ones down or are there others I can use? Anyone with HPM-100s have the answer?

Thank you!

You need the exact ones. Your options are, finding suitable alternate input terminals, of which there may be many, or you could pick up complete crossovers on the bay.

Good luck,

At a quick glance on Google and it looks like those crossovers are easily disassembled. From what I remember of my HPM's the factory bindings posts are nothing special, I would replace them with a more modern post that allows for banana plugs.

Another vote for replacing with 5 way binding posts, especially if those crossovers are indeed easy to access and work on.
