I was given an HPM 200 but with missing woofers. i understand that it is almost impossible to get hold of those. But just to make the speakers work, is there any other woofer model that would fit perfectly to it?

Just a single HPM 200? Or a pair?
There are probably plenty of woofers that will physically fit the enclosure, but to find something that will work properly is a completely different matter. Apparently these used two different woofers, one 8Ω and one 16Ω. Finding a 16Ω woofer is difficult enough these days, but finding woofers with the proper specs will be next to impossible.
About the only thing I can suggest is try Parts Express' Tech Talk forum. Those guys know their stuff, but I'm not sure how familiar they'd be with the HPM-200's requirements (while it's a fairly well-known speaker, its reputation precedes it, as it's also pretty rare). Still, it can't hurt to ask.
