HTR-5460 good for two channel or is dedicated amp better?

I have been using my Yamaha HTR-5460 as my main two channel receiver, and I have been pretty impressed by its performance. Are 5.1 receivers any good in stereo, or would it be worth the investment to buy a true stereo receiver or integrated amplifier? Here's the specs on it:

Some Yamaha 5.1 receivers can be decent in stereo, the best of them like the RX-V1 can be very good. If you enjoy your 5460 then it is good enough, but there are many dedicated amps that will sound considerably better.
