Hudson Valley NY FreezeFest Saturday January 30, 2016

3hr drive for me but I had such a good time at Frankenfest that I may take the road trip. :)

The K-1000 is a beauty, I had it playing pretty well, then a hum developed. At 80 pounds, it's just too much for me to wrestle with, so I send it down to Mike @ Hudson Valley HIFI to sort out.

I saw Mike yesterday to pick up some speakers to restore, and saw your Fisher. WOW! Just gorgeous!

Anyone bringing gear to do some demoing?

There is a small appendix area of the room off the big open space. This is probably the best place for system demos. Thinking we set up a few tables and chairs in that small area and designate it for demoing. In the big open space we can reserve that area for everyone's wheeling and dealings without music blaring from all angles.

I'll bring an Onkyo C-7030 with tube output mod, maybe a couple of vintage SoundStream amps, DA-1 and DA-2, which few have heard.
 
Anyone interested in hearing what 2 watts can do for music? I can bring a beautiful 45 tube amp using Sophia Electric power & rectifier tubes. Had a good time there last year.
