Nocturnal transmissions
Took an original non-MK II SL-120 (armless version of the SL-1200) and bolted a fresh, less than 24 hours owned newer SL-1200 MK II arm on it. This arm is descendant of the uber-exotic EPA-100 arm and frankly I like it better than what came on them originally. Also using the improved SL-1200 MK II VTA arm base to allow VTA on the fly.
Makes for a unique one of a kind look. Much cleaner looking than a MK II body.
A near drop-in fit. And the satisfaction of a job done by my own hands.
Playing Leo Kottke on it.
Got some freshly opened Art Blakey next.
Always liked the earlier tables uncluttered looks better, but dug the MK II VTA arm base (and arm).
Swapping the Stanton 680/681 and the Denon DL-160 around on it.
Got some fresh unopened Gil Scott Heron, Sonny Rollins, Coltrane and Mingus too.
Life is grand.
