Hymns....

[ZebraBlvd]

Being an old KY boy I was brought up around the old hymns. I still like quite a few just for their beautiful sound when sung by a great voice (like Jeff Buckley doing Cohen's Hallelujah). Here is another rendition of a classic one, Amazing Grace. It changes gear @ about the 2 and 3 minute marks. My intentions in posting this are about the beautiful sounds and nothing else.

Wow. looks like the Coliseum in Rome, what a venue.
I got goosebumps when the tempo went up...some powerful music.

Would like to have been there. I like you had the old goosey bumps running up and down me.

it's timeless music. I miss the Gospel show they use to have every Sunday morning on the radio.

Tim Storms singing amazing grace. must use a good stereo with bass capability to get the effect.

Love the old hymns, especially the ones that are a bit more complex than the simple 1-4-5 formula.

I kinda prefer the green bottle.

Watching the video, I think it was lip-synched. Not that that should take away from one's love of the song.

I like 'Wondrous Love', and especially 'A Song of the Nations' which is words put to the music of Finlandia.
