I’d put something up under the armboard.....

The problem is the opposite: the tonearm rides a bit too high.

The Micro Seiki is interesting because it puts the top of the cartridge more or less centered on the connector as opposed to the Ortofon which has the cartridge top aligned with the top of the connector. I wonder if it’s because Ortofon’s modern cartridges all seem tall to me (Quintet etc.)

Why not get someone who can recess the point at which the arm is mounted. Looks like 1/4 to 3/16 would do the trick

It could be the perspective of the camera angles. Small angle changes can make a big difference in perspective. Just out of curiosity, have you put a small circular bubble level on top of the headshell, to see how far you are from level?

I adjust the counter-balance, so that the tracking force, with the bubble, is around 1.5 to 2 grams.
