I Am Almost Too Excited For Words!!!

As some here may know, recently, I have been selling a great deal of equipment in preparation for a “new direction”. I can now reveal that new direction, but I am not yet at liberty to post photographs, but will do so as soon as soon as the equipment arrives.

Many years ago, while in college, I met the son of Professor Lirpa of Lirpa Labs. His son is now Dr. L. F. Lirpa and he lives in Oxmix, NY. Loo and I have become great friends over the years and he knew that I was preparing for the purchase of a new system. Loo was on a football scholarship at school and when he took over the helm at Lirpa Labs he started to name Lirpa's components based on his love for football.

So, I have sent my hard-earned money off to friend Loo for the soon to be released:

Quotient Bypass Super Noise Eliminator Amp K-circuit Amplifier, also known as the QB SNEAK and the incredible Laterally Passive Preamp code-named the LATERAL PASS.

The amp is rated for 410 watts per channel at 8 ohms and the preamp has a special 4 by 1 output with 4 laterally passive inputs—all analog, and better yet...wireless!!!

All valves, all analog and wireless; I can’t wait to share this with my AK friends!!

Woo hoo!!

Me too!!

I found a giant wooden cabinet on the side of the road this morning....8'x3'x3'.
It was a little dirty and muddy......but should make a GREAT subwoofer cabinet!
I'm not sure what to do with the dead body inside it though?
The recycling guys wouldn't touch it this morning.....not even for five bucks!?
Maybe I'll ask the Police Officer, that's pulling into my driveway?

Steve:banana:

How about his very powerful and massive tuner/amp/pre, the "wide receiver"?

I heard interception is phenominal...

I can’t wait to share this with my AK friends!!

Is Loo including the remote?

Walker, your new system may be good but it'll never touch my NTOTL Yorx setup. You better change direction again. I fear your compass is fouled.

IF I remember correctly a friend from MY college days purchased one of the Original Lirpa Integrated Amps shortly before he went off to the Amazon for Senior year.

The significant characteristic of that unit was that as the volume increased, so did the distortion so that @ 100db the distortion was 100% , which specification has never been duplicated AFAIK.

As for my friend, sadly he was kidnapped while in the Amazon by a tribe of deaf pygmies with no respect for audio (no doubt in part due to the total absence of electricity for hundreds of miles).

They chose to make an example of him in line with their feelings regarding foreign colonial powers and foreign audiophiles in particular

They put their ancient rain forest skills in primitive plastic surgery methods to work on him; as a result today he can longer wear a pair of Koss stereophones (see attached pic: a picture is worth a...)
