Greetings from the Mississippi Headwaters,
New guy with mostly old junk from my senior year in high school.
Pioneer sx 1080, sg9500 eq. rg2 processor, dlk, and recently aquired Altec Lansing 1202 Speakers soon to have new drivers on intotubes advice.
Also a couple of turntables not worth mentioning.
I'm a 25+ year woodworker, and would be happy to help anyone in this field, speaker enclosures ect. that seems to be the thing to do here. :thmbsp:

Welcome aboard.
Some here may argue about that old junk.
Some of us kinda' like it.

Hi there. Woodworking eh? My biggest problem is that for the next month I have no room for anything bigger than a cordless drill. I do wish there were woodworking workshops for hire at an hourly rate in Australia. How good are you at deep high gloss finishes?

Man, do I ever share that sentiment! I had/have one small room --originally a small "outdoor" (but a floor up, like a balcony) patio, but roofed over with windows across the back-- which was at first divided between storage shelves along one wall, and a works-space for the rest. Then I started a large robot project, and the parts increased and the work-space decreased.
Still workable, but barely, at least until the robot project gets finished and the extra/unused parts can be disposed of.

Then I got into vintage audio, and needed space for some racks of gear. Guess where those went? Now you can't even step into the room without pulling out a rack of stuff. It's pure warehouse, and the robot project is suspended until I reclaim the workspace. :tears: I seriously must de-clutter, divest, disgorge, purge, or whatever you call it, to reclaim some space to actually work on things like woodworking again! It wasn't so bad when I still had my other (much narrower) covered balcony to work on, but now that is filled with rare boomboxes... At least those I'm gearing up (hhmm, maybe that should be gearing down? :D ) to sell online soon. The evil downside to an addictive-obsessive hobby! At least now I WANT to get rid of most of it, and rarely want to add anything (unless it is something really, really special).
