I did 109 MPH Yesterday evening...Whats the Fastest You've ever Driven?

I won't run into him, but that sort of behavior is the thing I hate *most* in drivers on a highway--weaving in close quarters.

I may pass everything on the road, but I do it carefully, picking the right moment, and leave lots of room for everyone.

People who weave are *why* I tend to pass everything on the road and find that big empty place out front where there's no one and hold onto it.

Agreed. I travel pretty frequently for work and am not at all weirded out by high-speed freeway travel. You've just gotta be smart about it - make sure you have room to stretch out and that your moves are as predictable as possible to everyone else.

If you're going to take your life in your hands just to "test your true driving skills," make sure it's really just your own life. Don't involve the other people on the road who are just trying to get to Target.

Yep, take your car to the track and exercise "skills" like that there instead. The public road and traffic is no place for weaving at high speed. People are trying to get somewhere, not engage someone driving erratically. Besides, there's little skill in moving in a pretty much straight line passing people who are maintaining essentially a steady speed.

I dare say that most of us couldn't drive well enough to post top 10 times at an autocross in stock class.

As a guy who commutes on that same parkway, I really want you to be kidding.

WHIIIP... WHIIIP... WHEW, CLOSE ONE! :D
Well if you feel like Your in Serious Danger on the road...Just Close Yer Eyes and Grit Yer Teeth like I Do.
HAHAHAHAHA.
Don't worry Your right, I was just jaggin folks around.
I like an wide open road like everybody else.

85. Downhill. On a long 4 lane divided. In my V 8 '92 T'bird.

You can all pass me now.

As an aside, a 9 year old girl nearby was killed and her grandmother is on life support after their Honda got hit from behind by an aftermarket Mustang going 135 out there on the 611 Doylestown bypass.

265km/ph. on my '06 Hayabusa which converts to 164.66 mph. I just sold this bike on Sept. 7/12 after owning it for 3 years, because its near impossible to not speed, especially in the twisties in BC. Nearing 60 yrs old, I figured it's time to slow down just a tad. Got a VStrom 1000 now which I've only had to 200km/hr. (only 124.27 mph)

LOL I haven't reached that age yet... when I do I might have to get another Harley. :D

I figured I'd just get another HD when I get old! All kidding aside, the VStrom is nice because I get to ride to places and roads I wouldn't even dream of taking a full custom 'Busa' on. I was told by a 78 year old BMW rider, " if you stop riding cause you think you're too old, then you are too old"

150 + ( speedo only goes to 150) in my '71 Hemi Challenger on the Palmetto expressway in Miami. I was racing against a 455 Trans AM. We were neck and neck and I started to leave him as we approached 140mph.

Finding a clear Road to Speed down is great. :thmbsp:
But the only true way to test Your heart and your true driving skills, is to weave in and out of traffic as fast as You can.
Sometimes I drive down the Parkway cutting in and out of lanes at 70-80 miles an Hour.
Last week, I had My Chrysler up to 90 MPH for about 4 mins weaving in and out of the spacious Saturday Morning traffic testing to see if I still had My racing skills.
I could see people hollering out of their car windows and I could just imagine what they were calling Me :D...couldn't hear Em though.
"CAUSE I WAS MOVING FASTER THAN THE SPEED OF THEIR SOUND!"
Yea Buddy.

this has to be an act. nobody is this stupid.

I used to take every car we bought up to 120 just to see if it could do it. Always put new Michelins on them first. Don't bother any more though. Had my Hot Rod Suzuki 750 bike up to 150 while blowing off a Vette that dissed me at a local parking lot, greaser hangout. It is hard just to hang on at 150. I was drunk at the time. Ran the same Suzuki from one end of RT55 in South Jersey to the other at an average of over 100 at 2:00 in the morning while setting the speed record for a trip to the shore to home in PA. What a glorious noise that bike made.Passed a cop who was lurking in the trees but he was taking a leak in the bushes and he just let me go by. Took it sedatly through the tolls over the Delaware and then up the new Blur Route to the PA Turnpike where I got back to 100mph again. Had to duck out of the service gate behind the Lehigh Vally Rest Stop to avoid having the toll taker see my time on the toll ticket. Two hours flat from Cape May to Bethlehem PA. Later road improvements made it a 2 hour drive for anybody later. Those times were freer than these. You just can't get away with that kind of fun anymore.

@Kahoona...
You were Drunk doin 150 on a Bike?

Ok Dude...YOU WIN!
LOL!
