I feel like I am losing my mind.

I recently purchased a Fisher RS 2004a with the earnest intention of selling it since I got it cheap and don’t need a receiver. Now I am totally in love with it and I doubt it will ever go anywhere. The reason I feel like I am going a little crazy is because I am seriously thinking about selling my MAC4100 and using this as it’s replacement. I know the build quality isn’t as good but damn if it doesn’t sound as good or maybe better pushing my Klipsch Fortes. Just wanted to share my enthusiasm for this mostly slept on receiver. Best $40 I ever spent.

Yup ... my high end McIntosh amp sits collecting dust since replacing it with a Latino tube amp. Quarter the power, but still manages to push the big boxes to earth shattering levels if called upon.

(But then again, I KNOW my big Mac needs some work, which is why I got the Latino in the first place.) ;-}

Ha ha!
Kalifornia raisins!
I had a friend who collected them all back in the 80's.
He was a bit of an arrrtiiisst.
He caught a big 'ol bullfrog and taxidermied him into position, then made a cutout of plywood, and acrylic'd a pic of a beautiful Les paul on it.
He glued the frog holding the LP onto a slice of nicely finished stump and had the raisins all standing below him.
It was quite awesome!

Did he at least go through the small inconvenience of finding one named Jeremiah or was he lazy about it?

I agree w/ tonyg88, it has a real nice look to it... I recently was surprised by a reciever/ speaker combo myself. It had been a while since I had heard a combo sing out like that! I had almost forgotten what it was like! A match is a match.

I had a MAC 1900. Nice build quality, but the sound was nothing to write home about. The Sansui 5000x, now THAT has sound to write home about!
