Indeed. They are an prime example of excellence achieved through simplicity. I still get an odd satisfaction out of the fact an 8" 2 way bass reflex system of late 60's design can sound so good. They aren't window breakers like some of their larger siblings in the Sansui lineup (and they don't need to be), but for a critical listening session, or just high quality ambient music, they are exceptional.

Have to agree with that. Have them playing now with the SR-717 as source ( which by the way is a big step up from the SR-525! ) into the CA-606, with the B-2102 as power amplifier.
Especially impressed with the low frequency from this bass-reflex, really controlled, rich in tone, articulate with a little warmth. Mid and high perform good to.
