I got some free Pioneer CS-66 speakers today

I bought a Pioneer turntable today and the gentleman threw in these CS-66 speakers for free. I cleaned the switches on the back of them with Deox and fired them up. They sound pretty good. Does anyone know about this model? I guess I can pair them up with my SX-850 to see how they sound. They are very clean and have the paperwork with them.:banana:

a friend of mines dad brought a pioneer system back with him from japan way back in the day, it was in a big solid wood cabinet that looked like an armoire.
The speakers had this type of grill, but they were bigger i think.
anyway, the speakers he had really sounded good and played rather loud.
 
My dad brought back a pair of CS99's from Japan during his service. Great speaker. I spent many nights listening to them. Wonderful sound stage. He's currently restoring them. One common issue with all CSxx is the smaller midranges might need to be refoamed and becareful with the tweeters. Great deal...free. Congrads and enjoy.:music:
