Tomorrow I'm going to see a pair of Yamaha FX-3 monitors that showed up on CL. I couldn't pry a starting price out of the seller, so I wonder how much I should offer? I don't want to be insulting, but at the same time I just don't have all that much to offer.

Any ideas?

Flag the ad. CL is not an auction site. Then go check out the speakers.

Price wise I'd say like NS-1000Ms plus some percentage for being bigger and quite rare.

Read the info on TVK. I've never heard one, nor an NS-1000 for that matter :tears:, but purportedly one of the best speakers Yamaha made.
