I have strayed.....but I have returned to the fold.

Friends, I have let temptation lead me down the path of audio lust. For the last 4-ish years I've relied on a 2230b. I bought this pristine machine off Craigslist for $50(!) and it excelled sonically on everything. Besting everything I owned previously. But....I kept hearing about a Harman Kardon 930 being in the same class or (dare I say it) better. I hunted and found a HK930 for pocket change and gave it a couple of month audition in place of my 2230b. I played everything, but it just wasn't "there"... Tonight I swapped back the 2230b and the difference was so noticeable I'm going to sell the HK 930 in June. I have returned to audio bliss. I don't think I'll be led astray again. Carry On.

I had a HK930 back in the 90's. It was OK but I also sold it off pretty quick. And kept my Marantz 2230 (non b)

I have a question re my Marantz card. If I admitted that I have a Sansui 8080 in my upstairs system, and a 2252B in my downstairs system, will my card be revoked?

Yes, ye may stray to to HK or Sansui, but the Marantz Fathers and Mothers always welcome back a Prodigal Son.:)
Amen.

While I'm not the final arbiter of this, you must look into your audio soul, brother and decide what is right and where you've made your error.
