"Probably needs to be re-tubed."
Duh. And sandblasted, repainted, and rebuilt from the ground up. For starters.

Nice amp.

If the output transformers still measure and work fine, they should be worth 30 bucks, it's a gamble, maybe not......

Fresh from the Navy's missle range, where it served as the homing beacon for the cruise missle, is this Scott amp....

The chassis and iron is there, if for some reason you need that it might work for you. I am sure it would sound fine (assuming the trannies are good) even if it looked poor if you got it running.

go for it rock.tryto find out if the tubes are original and if so they would be either telefunken or amperex(which i beleive the222's were supplied with)either way with good trans you could part it out and make nice guitar amp.

The seller will pack and ship the 222 across country for $30 or so total. If the seller does any kind of packing job he might lose money unless the price goes up !

That's 1 nasty looking unit. Estate sale? Wonder if the owner "took it with him" and then was exhumed?

Price shot up to $107.80 in the final flurry of bidding. Six recorded bids in the last 10 seconds -- Foe

all i can say is at the final price it went for both those opt better be good otherwise someone just bought a nice paperwieght.

What do the cherry Scottie units on fleaBay usually net?

$300-$500 bucks?

100 Bucks for a parts unit probably isn't too bad.....I wouldn't pay that, but someone needing parts bad enough might. (Or did.)

The iron is probably fine....Nonetheless it is a gamble.

Looks like it was in damn house fire and didn't make it out alive!!!

Maybe the owner didn't make it out either, and, thus, the estate sale. Somebody had to want that thing pretty bad to go over $100... different strokes, etc...
