Last evening I received my McIntosh MA352, Im absolutely in love with this beautiful unit, now there is a slight learning curve curve on setting this unit up in regards to all its features. Initial review out of the box is astonishing. It sounds so smooth and sexy , wow !!! Thankyou Audio Classics &Ryan !! i better review to come later

i do have a question regarding phono section of my MA 352,I have a Fluance RT 85 w/ Ortaphon M2 blue MM im looking for some guidance on what to set the load compliance for the cart. online it gives a range 150-300. Any help would be kindly appreciated thankyou AK members

I just looked this up at the Ortofon web site. The MA352 MM load resistance is 47k ohms and that's the Ortofon recommendation. The Ortofon recommended load capacitance is 150 - 300 pf and it looks like this is adjustable on the '352. You'll have to experiment to see what works the best.

Edit: The Mc specs for capacitance are adjustable 50pF-800pF. Found this in the Mc Amplifier Specifications at the Mc website.

ok thankyou .

I’ve discovered that with the variable McIntosh preamp MM/MC loads (on my C22 MKIV), that with some cartridges there are bigger differences between settings than with others. As @skippy_ps said: Experiment and see what sounds best. Congratulations! Enjoy that silky-tube McIntosh goodness!
