I lost my Hitachi HS-530

4 days ago I bought a set of HS-530 in good condition. But is appears that both tweeters were blown... I'm not able to find replacement parts... I'm really sad because even without the tweeter the sound was pretty good, and they look beautiful!

The guy who sold them took them back and gave me Cerwin Vega HED W-10 instead. I like the sound but they are very ugly :D

There must be something with those metal Hitachi Lo-D tweeters... I recently got some HS-430 speakers with non-original tweeters, and they still sound very good now that I've redone the crossovers.

The look really cool with the metal cones, but without the original metal cone tweeter they lack the full package :(

I was at a friends place last week and left in awe of his Pioneer HPM 500 speakers but have recapped these Hitachi crossovers since, and I plan to put them head to head soon. Their sound sure emerged after the work.

Finding spare parts is not going well for getting the original tweeters.

The originally equipped tweeter drivers on the Hitachi can be seen at times for sale at a Japanese auction site.
It's series (330 for the lesser,630 the bigger model) was famous and caputered much attention from
audiophiles decades ago as they employed all metallic cone derivers becoming the pioneer of the type AFAIK. I'm willing to watch out for a sale there and get in touch with you in case I have notification from the site. I could help you as an agent for nothing coordiate the transaction, showing my intentions of gratitudes to AKers who kindy accepted my exsitence here. please PM me if you like.

Well, I see you've already put them back to the seller....My thoughts are with you.
Taihei Suzuki , touching wood.
