I need a Technics Sl-230 Counterweight!!

Hello, after years of listening to records, my oldest daughter is finally showing interest. I have a Technics sl-230 that is missing its headshell and counterweight. I don't think the headshell would be much of a problem, but the counterweight is giving me problems. I've searched online and certain auction sites, but have failed to find one. Can anyone tell me where i might find one, or do you have one yourself? Are there any other models that would fit. I also have a Technics Sl-20 but the center hole of the weight is smaller than the 230. Any help would be appreciated.

If I were looking for any Technics parts, my first call would be to Kevin at kabusa.com. I'm not sure whether he'll have what you need in stock, but he may be able to point you in the right direction.

Part number is SFPWG21001K. The SL-3200/3300/3350 use the same part.

So the SL-3200/3300/3350 and Sl-220 counterweights will interchange with the Sl-230? I also need a headhsell and cartridge. will the universal headshells fit ok and what cartridge would be adequate for decent quality? Just checking to make sure, and thanks for the replies.

Did you locate the counterweight? I may be able to find one at work... We gut the ones we can't save. There's tons of Technics headshells around too.

yes, i actually got the one Starquest suggested for 12 bux. I'm ok with that. I also found all the other parts i need. Thanks for all your help and replies.
