Hi everyone,
I would like to ask for help finding the specifications for the Luxman M-600A.
It is the Japanese 100V version, but I am using a step-down transformer (converting our local 230V to 110V).
The Luxman sounds wonderful; it is an excellent Class A amplifier!
There is no audible distortion.
The only issue is the temperature I measured on the heatsinks: 82°C.
The bias (idle current) I measured on both the right and left channels was 205mV, taken via the 3-pin connector near the "103 10k" trim pot.
The DC offset at the speaker terminals is 6mV.
Are these parameters within normal limits?
I have contacted several service centers, including Luxman directly, but no one has replied or offered to help.
It is fitted with 4 pairs of transistors per channel: 2SA1943 and 2SC5200.
The emitter resistors are 0.33 ohm.
I do not have the service manual, and I haven't been able to find one.
It would be a huge help if someone could confirm these parameters or help me locate the service manual.
I also have one more question: is it possible to convert this version from 100V to 230V?
I have a photo of the power supply section of my unit and a photo of the 230V version (though I'm not sure if the latter was modified).
In my photo, the board has a cutout around the transformer/standby section,
whereas the other board (the 230V one) does not have that cutout.
I would be very grateful for any help!
Please excuse my English; I am from Slovakia.
Regards
Juraj
