I need some more informations about McIntosh lamps

Hi,
after the succesful restoration of the illumination of my MC7106,
i´m ready to the same to my MC2205 and maybe my C29.
For the MC2205 i have a service manual and the lamps in that unit are:
1866 Panel & meters 058-014
7382 Normal & limit 058-061
7381 Hold& dB & watts 058-62
Because of the corvid lockdown Mcintosh service seems to be closed.
Is anybody here in the forum able to tell me what kind of lamps these are and what measures ( Volt / mA )
they have?
So it might be possible for me to get some similar on the german or european market.
Thanks alot for support!

The first group of 3 numbers are standard industry comercial part numbers used by GE in the first case and Chicago Miniature in the 2nd and 3rd.

The 058-xxx numbers are Mac part numbers that will have no comercial cross reference.

The 1866 bulb is a bayonet mount - 6.3Volts, .25A
The 7382 bulb is a bi-pin soldered-in - 14Volts, .08A
The 7381 bulb is a bi-pin soldered-in - 6.3Vots, 2.0A

Go to the section where it will search by "trade number"

I see they've got LED equivalent models. The 1866 incandescent is 10 for $10

(Just looked, i see you're in Germany, they've got to have industrial supply houses there too.)

Edit-color of LED may be ok, or not.

LEDiodes do not play well in power guard circuits where a tungsten filiment is designed in circuit.

Typically even soft white LEDs for meter lamp illumination are way to bright white compared to the more staw yellow of a tungsten filiment.

The incorrect color can be modified if you wish to invest the time to find the correct color of gels to install.

Been there done that........

A change to LED is no option for me.
I have the fear that the light will be to bright, and i don´t want to have a "cristmas tree".;)
A forum member from Europe seems to have most or even all of the lamps that i need.
So i will take the chance to order from him.

By the way, this is a fantastic forum ! I never thought that help comes that fast and that professional.
So thanks all for your help up to now !:beerchug:

"LEDiodes do not play well in power guard circuits where a tungsten filiment is designed in circuit."

If that is so, why does the Power Guard still work normally when the bulbs are burned out?

Well I am not trying to sell anything, and there are certain units, like the MAC4100 that use LEDs even going back to 1977.

So there could very well be certain units that LEDs could work in OK as part of the PG indicator circuit.......it is up to you as a marketer to apply the correct disclaimers and test each unit for compatibility.

But again the voltage drop across a diode is different than that of a tungsten filiment or no drop at all if open.

If you don't find all lamps, Buerklin has 7382 (art.no. 32G672) and 7381 (art.no. 32G670).

tme.eu has 1866 and 7382.

Both are europen companies.
