I scored a tube console!

That sure brings back memories. I believe that's the model I grew up with in my parents house.

I remember my brother setting up his new Marantz 1060 with some new speakers on top of the console for a comparison. He was confident that his new system would walk all over the old Zenith. Man, was he disappointed. :tears:

I'm working on a pair of Zenith monos right now and am really impressed with the sound.

Good luck with the project!

I found the schematic posted by another AK member right here: http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showpost.php?p=5378445&postcount=7

Keymo,

Nice find on the schematic and congrats on your re-cap and mods. Glad to hear that you eliminated the bias pots and hard wired the cathode resistor and bypass cap. Hopefully you got a nice boost in volume with the addition of those bypass caps.

Will,

The wiring for your Output Transformers is on Pg 8/12 of that pdf. Your model is in the "alt" box and of course, the colors are not shown for those, but it looks like the speaker leads are Green going to the crossover capacitor on the horn, Yellow going to the + lead of the woofer, and White (ground) going to the - of both speakers.

You can verify this by doing some tracing.
