I should buy these Polks, Shouldn't I?

I would consider it. Those 8" units are passive radiators. Not subwoofers. I seem to remember that the "silver coil" tweeters were not the best version out there. Check the forums over at the Polk site for more info.

Offer $150 and go home smiling. A speaker that goes way under the radar. I use 4 of them for my HT and SACD system.

Lots of people don't have digital cameras. And CL is usually pick-up, so doubtful it's a scam.

SDAs usually start about twice that much. And I think the RTA is generally a better speaker for music.

I had a pair of them about 15 years ago. I keep kicking myself in the ass for selling them. I just had too many speakers at that time.

Carl,

I read you have a pair of SDA's. Did you aquire those recently? There was a pair not long ago on CL. Was very tempted but quite happy with my Monitor 10's at the current moment.

Sau

Hi Sau,

I've had my SDA-2s for about two years now. I also had the Monitor 10s, I liked them very much. But I sold the M10s for the space. Both sound very similar, except the SDA-2s is a bit fuller and broader in soundstage. I was thinking about selling them. I've gone to smaller speakers and they have since been neglected. I use to really like them...gonna have to take them for a spin.

Cheers,
Carl

I have SDA SRS2's, SDA 1C's and Monitor 10B's and love them all. The SRS2's get the main amount of workout in my office 2-channel system but the 1C's are going to show up in another room once in awhile too. I'm like most...too many speakers and I don't really rotate them a lot. I just hate selling off some of them!
