Really bad manners on my part. i never introduced myself.
I'm a marantz owner that recaught the bug about 3 years ago and am having the time of my life reviving my interests and equipment.
as noted in my profile, i'm from Flint, Michigan but please don't hold that against me, not all of us in Flint are thugs and drug dealers. There's 3 or 4 of us left that like vintage stereo equipment, though that may not be much better than being a thug. Last i looked, nobody has been shot for their vintage equipment yet this year, that being the only opening left on our crime stats sheet, we'll have to wait and see if i make it to the end of the year.
I currently own 5 working Marantz receivers
2220B 2225 2-2265's 2325
3-6300 turntables, 2 of which are a project to make one good one.
1 cassette deck, can't think of the numbers on it (model number ends in 30)
my musical tastes vary, really listen to reggae, keeps me sane driving I-75 south to work each day.
recently linked my PC into the system for transferring my LP's to CD and archiving. definitely need a better sound card, but it all takes time and money, neither of which i have much of lately.
enjoy the forum immensely, has helped me a ton in the past and i'm sure into the future.
subscribed about 2-3 months ago, as i feel my money is/was well spent.
