Out Of Hand

Makes you wonder what you should be more afraid of!!!!! Yeah pot is illegal, but people are generally not killing each other over it...or dying from it. Alcohol on the other hand???..........The part about the dogs being a threat...well of course that is what they're going to say...it's total bulls**t...They screwed up and now they have to cover up...for each other. I read stories about "Busts" all the time and they are so exagerated to make it seem like your tax dollars are put to good use. Are they (raids)needed??? probably, but don't justify the expense of the investigation by saying $1000's or $1,000,000's were seized when if you broke it all down it would make the drug(s) more valuable than gold.

I can't believe the police killed the dogs :tears::no:

Dogs often get shot in raids as a matter of course - they can't really understand what's going on, and can't really respond to orders to stand down. Calmly approaching the dog's owner and asking them to get the dog to settle down isn't usually on the agenda. The cops can shoot first and ask questions later, knowing that there won't be any reprocussions.

Getting to kill dogs and causing excessive property damage seem to be "perks" of participating in these sorts of commando adventures - sort of a consolation prize, since shooting people causes such a mountain of headache and paperwork.

Me and my dog, we're like peas and carrots. I can't imagine how I'd react to someone shooting my dog.

I hear ya Winters!! I'm almost certain I'd be returning fire, maybe not a smart move, but a move none the less. I have a Great Dane, and the Police were serving a warrant next door to me. The guy ran out the back door, an Officer jumped my fence and found himself face-to-face with Missey, she doesn't like unfamiliar people in her yard, she's a big ole teddy bear, but she is pure evil when she's startled. The Officer didn't take long to get back over that fence, "Oh ****!!" as he bailed back over. I'm extremely glad he handled it that way. The look on his face was priceless.

Just for the heck of it Google 'no knock warrants' without the single quotes. It is not only dogs that get killed, not to mention your 4th and 6th Ammendment rights.

Typical actions of an out of control police action! Seems like the police are getting more and more like the Nazi Gestapo in their law enforcement methods! The motto of many police depts."To serve and Protect". is a big joke. They want to serve up pain and misery and protect their butts when they screw up! :sigh:

A couple of weeks ago, a senior citizen out here near my house got busted with a couple of acres of weed growing behind his house. The funny thing is that he shared a country road with not one, but TWO county deputies - one living across the road from the old guy. Ever since then, this area has been overflown by several massive helicopters which much cost the better part of $2000/hr each to operate looking for other "plantations". I'm pretty sure law enforcement can do something better then that with their budget.

As I typed this, we were overflown yet again.

I feel so sorry for that family. My cats are like kids to me and my wife since we dont have any.
Now that it has happened to an upper middle class white family, maybe people will do something about it.
