IA-2232 amp no sound from any channels

I purchased the 2232 amp and matching tuner /remote from a family member who used it up until 3 years ago when they went to a more modern set-up. I have hooked it up and the units light up,you can hear the amp click on. I have no sound whatsoever from any channels. The fuse on the speaker output board is good. I do not see anything that appears burnt or leaking. I have read on another site that the IC circuit may need to be reset. They said to look for a semi large yellow capacitor on the main board, and to short it out from the bottom side with a wire, paper clip etc. I don't have a yellow capacitor any where on the main board. I have attached a picture. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated!

I have one of these that is my daily driver for computer/video. It's a pretty solid unit, measured it myself at an honest 100 wpc into an 8 ohm load.

If you haven't figured it out yet (old thread, I know) check the speaker switches and tape monitor. The monitor is a little confusing

I had the same exact problem with mine. Same model. Gold limited version . took it to a couple of places that were supposed to really know what they were doing. But nobody can figure out why it was on protect mode. So now it's just sitting inside of a box collecting dust unfortunately. From what i'm hearing, this exact model is notorious for that problem.
