ID on console

I have tried everywhere I can think of to find someone who can help me ID this console which is in out family with no luck. I see there are quite a few console fans here so I am giving you all a shot at it. It is grandma's old Capitol three piece console with simulcast stereo tuner and phono.

I would like to procure a schematic so that I can get a handle on the quality of tuner installed. I figure that if I can get my hands on it I can trace the audio circuits pretty well but the rf circuits would be trickier.

Can't be much help, but I did want to mention that the presence of that many 25L6's and 12AX7's may mean that the heaters are wired in series and run directly off the powerline. Heater cathode insulation ratings are usually only good for a couple hundred volts at most, and today would not meet isolation standards (around 1400VDC). So if you restore this set, you should consider using an isolation transformer for these heaters (I assume that there's a power transformer for the B+ and the tuner). Or a big 24V transformer and rewire the heaters. This would also cut down on stray capacitive coupling of hum, as the hum voltage would be lower.
 
Look for a chassis number and / or model number - that's the only way to find a schematic. There are about 90 Capitol models listed in the Sams Photofact index...

My guess would be a Capitol based on the FDS logo which I think stands for "Full Dimensional Stereo". (Capitol - the record company - also sold consoles.) They had a record series by that name and probably advertised it jointly with their console. I don't have much information on that brand.
 
Yep, had determined that much. The last time I was over at my brother's house where the unit is I did not have enough time to search very far into it. I need to get over there again some time for a closer look.
