Identify These Dynaco's Please!

I have a nice pair of Dynaco A-25's (at least I'm pretty sure that's what they are). I got them from a thrift store a few months back. Today I saw an orphan A-25 ? at another thrift store so I got it for a possible replacement or to sell on Ebay so I could help someone that may have a bad driver,cabinet, etc. And of course I could make a few $$. I knew that there were subtle differences in them when I saw the orphan. They became more obvious when I got it home and compared it. Help me out by telling me the difference in model or vintage. Here's #1 the orphan..........I will follow with a picture of #2 ( from the pair at home) and explain the obvious differences then. Thanks !Franksta

This is #2 from the pair I already had...............

#1 has a little thinner profile cabinet although it's outside dimensions are the same. #1 's cabinet's recessed depth is not as deep as #2. When the grille is in place on #1 it sticks out 1/4 " or so. The grille on #2 is flush when in place. #1's high frequency control has 2 positions and #2 has 4. The dimensions from each edge of the surround is the same on both speakers 9 1/2" but on #2 the cutout is little larger to accomidate the screw flanges which stick out beyond the rest of the frame. On #1 the screw holes are within the frame of the speaker. The wire grille covering the tweeter and it's dome are a little smaller on #1. The speaker openings on the baffle around the tweeter on #2 is routed deeper and is recessed and tapered where on #1 it is flush and not tapered. The grille on #1 is attached with velcro and on #2 it's the recessed fit that holds it on.
That is about it...... I am sure that one is an XL and the other isn't or either they are just a different generation. I would just like to know so if I sell it I will know how to describe it. Thanks! Franksta

The orphan is an A-25XL, the pair are A-25s. The smaller tweeter domes give the XLs away.
