Identify these tweeters? Used in Baby Advent II

Many moons ago, I blew the tweeters in some Baby Advent II speakers. Took em to a local speaker repair shop and they recommend putting these tweeters in. No branding on them. Made in France.
"DW6 x 11 M" stamped on the back.

In hindsight, that speaker place did a very poor job as these are acoustic suspension speakers and the tweeters didn't fit the hole or seal. Pretty bad.

Anyway, am looking to get these speakers working again. Need a refoam, and something done with these tweeters. Does anybody know what they are? Would it work alright if I sealed the cabinets with them properly by caulking around the tweetsDSC_1018.JPG DSC_1017.JPG DSC_1018.JPG DSC_1017.JPG ? Or maybe I will just refoam the woofs and part the speakers out. I have no use for these speakers, and putting any money into them is pointless as they are worth very little, especially with replacement tweeters. Opinions on what I should do with these?
Thanks!

Bummer. If you want to keep the speakers for your own use, sure, seal the tweeters and plug the old screw holes. As long as the replacement tweeters have the same impedance and frequency response as the original tweeters, you should be golden. The Baby Advents are not bad speakers. They would be good for small room or as computer speakers if there is space.

If you want to sell them, good luck with that. Baby Advents are not worth much. As you point out, with the replacement tweeters they will not be original and what you can sell them for will take a hit.

I had a pair of pristine Baby III speakers that took a long time to sell and I was lucky to get $50 for them. I sold them for what I had in them (purchase cost and new foam and caps). But your market may be better than mine.

Simply Speakers shows to have 57 of the OEM style tweeter in stock and they also say Advent on them. Not too bad really. That type of tweeter was a very common polymide tweeter that was used in many lesser priced/smaller home speakers and TONS of car audio speakers way back when. You can order those direct from their website or from their e b a y auction it looks like. $19 each plus shipping or there are some used ones on auction with broken tabs, etc. lol. Problem is, they want too much for them!
