Idle current trimming resistor adjustment for 2250B

hi,

happy easter everyone.

i'm still rebuilding my marantz 2250B, one of the P700 boards though is not functioning properly, the two transistors H714 and H715 heats up, while the idle current adjustment via R719 could not be adjusted, it voltmeter reading between J708 and J710 remained to be zero millivolts. Two questions:

1. is the cause of the heating of H714 and H715 the defective R719 trimmer, i said defective because when i removed it from the board the supposed 330 ohm resistance is in mega ohms already.

2. if i will replace this trimmer resistor what part number in Digi key or mouser should i look for, not sure also the type whether this is a linear or logarithmic trimmer.

hoping for opinions from the experts.

cheers,
danny

Just to close this thread, yes the short ckt cause was the defective trimmer resistor R719. I've replaced it with an orig part thanks to eBay.
