I was having a thought as I was crusing the forums and reading others opinions.:yikes: There seems to be many that feel power cables make a sonic diffrence? If so then wouldn't a bigger diffrence be made with a Power line conditioner? My thoughts on this maybe overley simple so please educate me.:scratch2::

To answer the question: Yes.

I agree with RichPA. Yes. :)

I have tried (and have kept) both power conditioners (I have two of them, different brands) and upgraded power cords (I also have two brands) but I have never tried them separately. I always have used the power conditioner with the power cords.

Might be a interesting experiment one day when I get bored this winter..... :scratch2:

I've already posted most of my thinking on this today here. Most 'power conditioners' are nothing more than a generic or derivative standard filter that will do nothing at AF where it's needed most. I consider them a great waste of money.

If I were to buy an aftermarket 'audiophile' power cable, I'm sure it would affect imaging; my wallet would be lighter so I would lean less to the left when seated. Otherwise, as a replacement for an adequately sized stock cable, they will do nothing.

You should hear what my power conditioner did.... it was shocking (to me at least)

And I mean that I was shocked at the difference! :D

I inserted an HTS5100 PC (yeah I know, some hate monster) in my system when I lived in an apartment. It made a big enough difference for me to buy it, I had it on trial basically. I called BS, said this thing will do nothing except turn my gear on and off in order (which I loved). I was very surprised. It also eliminated lots of pops and snaps from my neighbors appliances. The wiring there was shady to say the least.

I think 3/4 of my apartment was on one circuit!

Now, in another buddies tube system in his house we heard no real differences. That is why I attributed it to the horrible wiring in my apartment complex.

What brand/model PCs?

Audioprism Power Foundation 1. Good - it works!

Furutech RTP-6N. Excellent! Makes the music sound unrestricted or not as choked as the Foundation 1.

That is the best I can describe the sound.... unrestricted? Choked? :scratch2: I can't think of better words - sorry!

I tend to agree... it all depends on your particular situation.

And it's probably why folks call BS and get into fights. :D

You can't really tell unless you are in the other guys place & listening room.
