IGrado over the ear, repairable?

I have two (2) pairs of IGrado over the ear headphones that after heavy use the cable disconnected or desoldered from one of the drivers on one, from both drivers on the other. I really like this earphones for riding bike, fishing, boating, and other physical activities. They sound great, after all it is an SR60i shaped differently.

Is it possible to open the ear cups and work on them? If so, how, as I tried and I'm afraid to break such high quality and expensive Chinese manufactured plastic cups.

I am of the understanding that Grado stands by their products and will repair them for a reasonable price.

Try calling them tomorrow. :)

There are two plugs hiding a phillips headed screw. One on the inside of each earpiece. I had to resolder one of mine that my son messed up.

As it turns out, the older ones I own did have the plugs, but the newer ones are different and don't have plugs, they have "tabs", and are a pain in the arse to open to get to the drivers. Any tricks?
