It appears that your cartridge requires the "239" stylus body, which is the same stylus body as for many Empire cartridges.

The performance of a cartridge has a lot to do with the quality of the cantilever and stylus, and in the link above you'll find different styli that will all fit your cartridge with price tags between $30 and $177. Is your cartridge worthy of a $177 stylus? I'd say yes.

You can sometimes find genuine styli on ebay for lower prices. But if you want to just get something to try, the stereoneedles site is handy and they ship quickly. I hope this helps to get you moving in the direction you are looking for.

You're welcome! The Empire I own that uses this stylus body is a 999XE/X. It's a very nice cartridge--full tuneful bass, lovely midrange, good highs, and "musical" -- and worthy of the 239 PDE stylus I have on it (nude .2X.7). But it's performance is less than either of my Empire 1000 ZE/X samples, my 600LAC, or LTD 750.

I also own a Stanton 881S (first generation, not the Mk II), which I find to be at least the equal of the Empire 1000ZE/X or the other two totl examples I mention.

So based on this experience I would guess that the Empire 7000 III would be a fine cartridge when mated with a good stylus but perhaps not in the same league as a Stanton 881S.

You can use the 237 styli on it too which includes the 2000 E/II genuine (translucent blue grip) available on that site.

A fine stylus.

Thank you for the informations about this cartridge.
Does someone know or remember the original price of this Empire 7000/III?
Was the price of the Empire 7000/III more expensive than the price of the 4000?
Please guys help me with these informations!:thmbsp:
Best regards

Although I don't know the original price of your 7000 cartridge, I seriously doubt that it cost more, or even nearly as much as, a 4000 series.

Hi Doug, thank you very much!It seems to me incredible! Does anyone have a brochure or a catalog of Empire's products in order to see the prices?
