I'm not sure what I've found here: Silvertone console content

Same TT I got from a full-up tube PP 6BQ5 Silvertone console. Still got it in a box somewhere and will likley build a nice wood case for it. Don't know how it sounds or who built them though.

Any info on the speakers yet?...coax?
 
That's a early 60's Silvertone. It could be either a Model 2084-A or 2085-A. They are identical electrically to the Model 2083-A which I have. The tuner chassis would be a number 528.54071, and the TT is a number 528.56732 or a 528.56733. That TT is quite gentle to records, BTW.If anyone has any old Sears technical manuals, the shematics are in Division 57, Section A. I don't know which Sams covers this. I believe this was built by Warwick for Sears as they built most of their electronics at the time.
 
Man i think it is a great find ,com'on guys let's preserve classic american products where we find them. Most of these consoles need to be preserved, most people ive' talked to from other country would jump at the chance to own a part of this classic american culture.:banana:

Yup, I just checked. 12" paper cone coaxials with an oval (about 4") tweeter mounted in the center.

Evidently, this ain't the garden variety bottom of the line SS console.
(there would be a dancing banana here if I had space for it in the house)
