I'd been having problems with imaging for along time. See a thread in Listening Spaces. By about six weeks ago I had done about as much
with speaker placement and equalization as I could. The frequency response is great at the listening position. But the imaging was just "OK".
So I left it alone. I've been listening a very lot.
And now is seems really really good, both on music and by listening to recorded stacatto pino notes, all 88 keys. When in right speaker only, that where it sounds.
When in the center, that's where it sounds. When in the left, is is about 5% towards the right but stable.
Some time ago I tested my ears. Recently I retested them using exactly te same protocol, with thge same headphones. There was no change.
But imaging has improved. After due consullation with both Claude and ChatGPT about this, it appears that brain reset is a real thing
and is the answer. Comment?
