impedence question

ok im sure this has been addressed many times before but here goes .
i have a Sansui AU-6900 amp, i want to hook up two sets of speakers and run them at the same time. One set is 8 ohm and the other set is 6 ohm, i know that 2 sets of 8 ohm in parallel gives me a 4 ohm load so if i combine the 8 ohm and the 6 ohm the amp should be seeing a 3.5 ohm load? will this be to much for my amp to handle ? i was going to hook them up A and B channel and run them simultaneously.
thanks.

3.43 ohm to be precise - or imprecise - as it's a "nominal" rating because the impedance could dip much lower at certain frequencies.

The unit is probably okay at 4 ohms nominal; 3.43 - ehhhh - can't see it being that much worse.

Just go easy on the volume until you get an idea of how much heat the amplifier generates at a given level of loudness.
