Incomplete Optimus T-120

Hello,

I have been holding on to a pair of my grandfathers T-120's that I am interested in rebuilding. One of the cabinets are missing the mid and woofer. The other needs new foam. With half of the drivers missing, repairing is not an option. I am looking for the best replacement options. I am new to home audio so I am not sure what is okay to mix and match. Also I am going to need to pair them with a receiver. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Can you source replacement drivers from EBay or the like? The Optimus T-120 are well liked.

I'd like to stay below $150 for the repairs if possible. The receiver I will probably end up getting after.

I have searched thrift stores around me, craigslist has not helped, there are midrange drivers on ebay but I cant find a woofer. I have considered ordering an original mid.

Found minimal specs. Maybe a Dayton Classic if you can not find original.

Or this budget one comes close to some specs but is pretty sensitive and may play too loud

I have a pair of mids from some Mach Two's (white cones) you can have but they need to be re-foamed.

Looks like the Q&As on PE do not help much but they look like a good option


I have a pair of Realistic Optimus T-120 speakers. Woofer original spec. - voice coil impedance = 7 Ohms @ 150 hz. �Resonant frequency �of 34Hz. Is the parts-express 10" square frame woofer part number 290-912 an appropriate choice replacement speaker?�
