Indoor mosquitos- how do you trap & "remove" 'em?

West Nile is no joke, in my area a few years back I could hear the cawing of crows almost all the time, if I chose to listen for it.

Now there is NONE, dead silence.... To say it decimated the crow population around here is an understatement, as decimation by the roman definition was 1 out of 10... this bears all appearances of 10 out of 10.

At the least a strong fan blowing out at the door should help....

Feel free to shorten the short life of these disease transferring pests.... There's plenty to go round..

and no, there is no realistic way to do a catch and release with them.
 
.....I heard a couple of times that placing a few drops of a certain type of dishwashing liquid in a white plate of water would help deal with mosquitos outside....could this work inside?....was the dishwashing liquid named "Dawn"?.....
 
Mosquitoes are dangerous and evil. Kill 'em with no remorse.

Spiders are good -- they'll help. Stop taking them outside.
 
I would 'trap' them between 2 hard surfaces and 'remove' them with tissue or something else you could wipe up the mess with.
 
I kill spiders at every oppurtunity cuz they are icky and give me the creeps! Yuck!
 
.....Guys, if you really want to experience mosquitos, come to Stuttgart, Arkansas, during the Summer....nothing but flooded rice fields with still and stagnant water for MILES-SSS in every direction with high humidity and sultry temperatures....the mosquito count is especially unbelievable at night in Stuttgart during the Summer when it rains in the late afternoon....I've been on a couple of trains that had to do setouts at Stuttgart at night, and trust me, you keep moving with a literal thick cloud of mosquitos following you.....

.....Moderator Celt, I know you live in Paragould, Arkansas....do you have any experience with mosquitos at Stuttgart during the Summer at night?....

Uhh... did I mention that somerwhere? Oh- I did- first post.

A few nights back I removed a large (for east coast) spider from my house- about 2" or longer standing from leg tip to leg tip- not flattened out. The thing would "hop" a foot or more when I moved my hands quick, or gave a quick blow on it.

Probably an inch tall as well.

Golden color, with browns, reminded me of the color of the scorpions I saw in Cali and Arizona and New Mexico- the smaller buggers, not the biggies.

Also had those small hooked "mini arms" that look like sinister fangs on 'em.

Anyone know what kind this spider this was?

Any spider experts?

I should make it clear that squashing mosquitos is a common practice for me- I really don't stay up at night with woe and sorrow for doing it.

That said, I don't get thrills squashing bees and ants.

But mosquitos, being potentially deadly predators, I'll swat without guilt.

Really.
