Can anyone identify these JSE Speakers ?
approx. value @ mfg. date. I was told $11,000.00 but.............
white lacquered cabinets
12" low woofer
10" high woofer
6.5" mid
2 x tweeters
on casters weighs 100 lbs each with about 25 lbs of crossover in each cabinet

JSE (John Solicito Engineering, if memory serves) Infinite Slopes are outstanding speakers (that's moderate praise for remarkable speakers), and those are either the top of the range or close. But drivers seem to be missing or damaged (no dust cap on the woofer). You can contact John at Source Technologies (or you could a few years ago) and get advice.
No idea if 11 k was the original price, but JSEs tend to go for much less than they are worth, and white loudspeakers are not likely to fetch anything like top dollar. A great deal if cheap, not so much if not cheap. And I mean cheap.

Nat ! Thakx for the quick response. These were given to me by an engineer who worked for Sennheiser before the open their USA branch in 1982. I was also "gifted" a pair of Black Klipsch klipschorn Heritages,which I promptly unloaded for $4200.00 ! My friend said "youll never find any info on these model" because they are special (?) These are a pair of Model 2.0c according to my friend. I apologize for the first set of photos,I should of known not to half step. No there are no missing components as I have the dust cover for the "low" woofer. Enclosed youll find photos of what looks like someones extras box in the garage. But do not be fooled. The INFINITESLOPE CROSSOVER portion for the woofers occupy 3/4 of the bottom of the cabinet (45 x 18 x 16) ,while the mid and tweeter portion of the INFINITESLOPE occupies about 1/3 of the cabinet backwall. And the cabinets are actually 2 cabinets in one as the mid 6 1/2 driver sits in its own little sub cab. The woofers and tweeters occupy the remaining space without a port. The cabinets start out with a 18" x 16" front profile ending at the top of the cabinet with a loss of 5" in depth and a half in in width 17.5" x 11". The only damage is to the two woofers 10" and 12". Only the 12's are marked (12WJSE) and a mfg date 0987

Those dynaudio tweeters are superb, and the infinite slope crossover frees them up from having to play lower than their ideal range. A SEAS or Vifa mid, which should be excellent. The woofers look like they need to be refoamed and one seems to need a dustcap, neither of which is difficult to fix.
The infinite slope crossover was invented by Richard Mondafieri (sp) of Mac tuner fame, and cuts off lower and higher frequencies very very steeply, and without the response anomalies that higher order crossovers usually introduce. For reasons that aren't obvious to me, it also dramatically diminishes the boxy sound that almost all cabinet enclosure speakers have.
Being given speakers is an excellent thing.

Nice find.
I'd love to hear them as I once had the 2 1/2 way JSE 1.0 that made beautiful sound, especially when paired with some nice amplification.
They sucked up the juice but paid a dividend of an airy out of the box sound.
European drivers were used exclusively and I think I even spy a MB Quart soft dome mid on this set of 2s.

No ! They arent being used on that all in one. Thats paired with vintage marantz imperial v model 6's. Because of the foam problem with the10 and 12 woofers ive only listened to them hooked to a jbl sub160
and even with the bottom missing the sound was impressive. The InfinitSlope crosses are amazing engineering. Gonna refoam them then pair them to my Yamaha PC5002M. The 500 watts should drive these with ease.
