I have a mid-range (Phillips AD5060/SQ8) from these speakers that have a torn cloth surround. I'm unable to find a suitable cloth surround on the web. I'm asking for any advice to fix this surround. I don't wish to buy a replacement mid-range speaker.
1. Would a foam surround work well instead?
2. Can I repair the surround (picture included)? The major tear is about an inch long.
3. How about a rubber (butyl) surround?
4. Other?
