Infinity Foams - Generic vs OEM aftermarket

Just picked up a pair of Infinity RS-5000. The poly woofers have already been refoamed with a generic set of foams, and it's a decent job. Typically I would never refoam with generic while the OEM aftermarket style was still available, like for JBL, AR, Boston, and of course Infinity, etc. So I'm a little leery about this but I don't want to tear off fresh foams due to the glue strength plus the extra PITA it will take with solvents etc.

Anyone have any experience with both styles for the same model? I recall a previous pair of these I did with Infinity style foams that suddenly bloomed when the foams broke in, and I regretted selling them. This pair won't be tested until the mids are refoamed - they're gone.
