Infinity Qbs!

media

It's more fun to compute
A guy locally sent me a pricelist of his stuff he wants to sell and he has a set of Infinity Qbs for $145. Is this a good price? I couldnt find any past threads regarding price on these speakers.

Also, I see some conflicting reports on them. Some say they work great with Sansui receivers, others say you need a receiver with 100+ wpc. Is this true? I will be using them with a Sansui G6000, but it's only 65wpc if I remember correctly. Others say they sound great with lower receivers. I love my G6000 and dont plan on "upgrading" any time soon, but I'd love a good set of speakers.

Thanks in advance guys. The AK community is most helpful.

Those have the electrostatic tweeter if I'm not mistaken, 3 way speaker. That might be a tad high in price (in Canada I see the prices around ~100). They are interesting enough for me to take a look but, then again I do have 80wpc amplifiers.

I have two pair. They are a pretty good sounding speaker. If mine were re-caped i would say they sound great! I have them my workshop system. The price seems a little on the high side. If they are in perfect condition with the stands i would pay $120.

BTW, your Sansui will do just fine with them.

Thanks for the info. No stands, just speakers in good condition.

I'll shoot for a lower price and see what I come out with. I've been using some kenwoods (JL117?) which arent terrible, but I know it could be better. I cant wait to have some great speakers.
