I have a pair of Infinity QLS speakers that my wife inherited. Her late uncle bought them in the late '70s and they never moved from his living room. [Edited by Moderator] They are about 6 ft. tall and weigh about 200 lbs. each. [Edited by Moderator] Any idea what these are worth?

e-tube, you decided not to keep them? couldn't find an amp or what? also remember, according to this forum's rules, you're not allowed to directly speak of selling, just valuation.
selling prices for the QLS1 vary widely as of late, depending on area, condition, and whether anyone is actually on the lookout for a pair. the economy isn't great, either, but that just slows things down so you have to be more patient to get a better price. you can try to check eBay's current and completed listings for some idea. the best i can say is, if they're working and not trashed, somewhere between $1k and $2k.

Hands off! Those are mine, it's just taking a little longer to get to California from Florida than my original estimate.
Sorry for the bad form, my bad. I spend a lot of time on guitar amplification boards and so understand and should have considered the perception, as well as the forum rules. Not my intent and I do apologize. I'm just clueless when it comes to audio equipment and do appreciate the responses (even the criticisms).
these are very interesting speakers. most people who have them have probably not heard them at their best, even when they were brand new, because of how much quality power they need (a 500wpc RMS @ 8 Ohms amp is not too much to have on hand) and how much a total crossover rebuild with modern parts benefits them (probably more than any other Infinity speaker). despite a few stellar reviews when they came out, they now seem to be considered more of a dated novelty than the other newer TOTL infinities. many people seem to remember wanting them mostly because of their looks. i will say that with a Yamaha PC5002M amp, my rebuilt QLS1s rival my new Threshold/Forte-powered RS1b setup, although the amp match-up is not completely fair.
